CAREER OVERVIEW

Porus Homi Havewala, a Double Oracle Certified Master (OCM) in Database 11g and 10g, was awarded the prestigious “Oracle ACE Director” title by Oracle USA in 2008. He is a recognized authority on many Oracle technologies such as Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, recently concentrating on private/hybrid database cloud capabilities of Oracle systems. He worked for seven years at Oracle Corporation, most recently as the Strategic Program Advisor, Singapore. Earlier in his Oracle career, he worked for over five years at Telstra in Australia, where he set up and managed the first production Enterprise Manager Grid Control 10g project in the world in the early 2000s, controlling thousands of data center targets with multiple administrator teams around Australia. He has 26+ years of experience in the IT industry, and 18+ years of experience with Oracle technologies, including as an Oracle senior DBA and developer using multiple Oracle products. Porus is the creator and manager of the Enterprise Manager blog with Oracle Press Credentials, and the Oracle Senior DBA group on LinkedIn.com with more than 61,000 members.

Porus is the author of thirteen published technical articles and three white papers on Enterprise Manager on the Oracle Technical Network (OTN), and has authored the following three books on Enterprise Manager, including his latest Oracle Press Book on the Oracle Database Private/Hybrid Cloud.
